Allison A. Fisher, M.Ed.

Executive Director, Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health

Allison Fisher is Executive Director of the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health. She possesses her Masters of Education, Counselling Psychology, from the University of Western Ontario. Allison is a member of the Wikwemikong First Nation on Manitoulin Island. Her advocacy, policy analysis, management and counselling work have allowed her to focus on issues such as Aboriginal health and wellness, health education, and youth in custody. As a strong supporter of national and international Aboriginal industry and arts, Allison has sat on various community boards. She has made presentations at many Native wellness conferences in the U.S., the International Women and Health Conference at York University, and the Prime Minister’s Task Force on Urban Issues. Allison is a former board member of the National Capital Commission and Trent University.
